Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
